Chief Executive Officer
Radius Specialty Hospital - Boston
Boston, MA
Radius Specialty Hospital Boston and Radius Specialty Hospital Quincy are the Boston area's premier long-term acute care hospitals (LTACHs), and are clinically affiliated with Boston University School of Medicine Pulmonary Group at Boston Medical Center. Radius Specialty Hospital is a $40 million, 460-employee, 207-bed hospital. With a main campus in Boston and a satellite location at Quincy Medical Center, the Hospital is continuing to grow and make significant investment in operational and facility infrastructure.
Radius Specialty Hospital is privately owned by the Radius HealthCare Companies, a leading provider of specialty hospital, skilled nursing and assisted living in MA and RI. The CEO will report directly to Hospital ownership on an as needed basis through a senior member of the Radius ownership team as well as at regularly scheduled ownership meetings. The CEO provides leadership, direction, and administration of all aspects of hospital activities and other hospital entities to insure compliance with established objectives and the realization of total quality management, and economical health care services.
The CEO will have a background that features extensive experience managing operations, and will have the frame of reference to enhance existing infrastructure that growth and expansion will require. This includes increasing uniformity between locations, improving human capital and increasing utilization of technology. The right candidate for this position must have a solid background in operations management, preferable multi-location. While LTACH or Rehabilitation experience is helpful, it is not a requirement; acute care hospital experience is ideal. Master’s preparation is preferred. Experience in a unionized environment is helpful.
