HCMA presents…….Healthcare 2010: Revolution not EvolutionWednesday, May 20, 2009 Presentations from the conference:
David Kinzer Scholarship Winners Event DetailsSpeakers
Health insurance premiums have doubled in the last eight years, rising 3.7 times faster than wages. Over half of all personal bankruptcies today are caused by medical bills and over 45 million Americans still lack health insurance. One quarter of all medical spending goes to administrative and overhead costs and there is still a reliance on antiquated paper-based information systems. Despite the severe economic downturn and challenging overseas issues facing the country, the Obama administration is firmly focused on the priority of reforming the U.S. healthcare system. President Obama believes that reforming healthcare is a critical component to improving the U.S. economy and as such, his budget proposal calls for creating a $634 billion fund to overhaul the U.S. healthcare system. At HCMA’s spring conference, experts in the field will discuss the specifics of the Obama Administration’s healthcare proposal, how it will affect us, how we need to position our organizations to be prepared, and whether the Massachusetts experience may be the model for the entire country. Please join us for an exciting presentation on a critical and timely topic. Agenda
