The Conference

This conference is designed for Leaders of Healthcare Organizations including Administration, Medical Staff Leaders and Quality Managers.

Government and Healthcare Leaders and consumer advocates across the country have made the safety of patients and improvement of healthcare quality in the United States a top priority. The need to monitor, track, access, and improve the safety of inpatient and outpatient care is at the top of many agendas. However, there is little evidence that patient safety and quality have improved in recent years.

During his keynote speech at the “Annual Session of the American College of Physicians”, leading patient safety expert and co-author of the five year old institute of medicine “IOM” report “To Err is Human,” Dr. Lucien Leape noted that he has not seen a “big improvement” in patient safety since the publication of the IOM report. In this report it is estimated that there are 98,000 preventable deaths each year due to medical errors alone. This is despite the fact that the United States spends the most money on healthcare of all the advanced industrialized Nations.

Please join our distinguished faculty to hear how your organization can position itself to deal with the growing requirements and expectations of patients, business, government and payers to continuously improve, demonstrate, measure and report evidence of high quality healthcare and safe practices.

As an officially designated Chapter of ACHE, HCMA is authorized to award 2.5 hours of Category II (non-ACHE) Continuing Education credits.
