Each year without fail, spending for healthcare services increases, often rapidly. Proposed solutions are many, from disease management, pharmaceutical controls, cost sharing, quality initiatives, information technology, malpractice reform and elimination of unnecessary care. Some solutions are enterprise wide and some more localized within the institution.
Yet the political will to reform the system has not existed and affordability and access are now an acute and growing concern. At this point, America spends more on healthcare than it does on food!
This conference will identify the key options for national healthcare reform and whether the political will exists to implement them.
The conference will identify specific strategies and processes that have resulted in increased quality, reduced cost and sustained profitability.
- What specific techniques have organizations used to balance the cost/quality equation?
- How do you define, measure, analyze, improve and control processes to maximize their value and sustain improvements?
- How can you use Fortune 500 Company proven techniques such as SIX SIGMA (favored by GE) and LEAN (Toyota)?
A panel of healthcare leaders representing successful New England hospitals will present their views on achieving and sustaining success. They will provide practical, real-life examples from which we can learn.
